Ipana Toothpaste Tube - Retro Tuesday, Rednesday & Vintage Things Thursday

Tuesday is Retro Tuesday at Crazy Suburban Mom, Wednesday is Rednesday at SueLovesCherries and then it's Vintage Things Thursday at Colorado lady. Today I was going through old photos with my Mom and found some great old magazines with a few wonderful images to scan. The ad reads "An end to "Pink Tooth Brush"!" Ipana with massage gives new firmness to lazy gums. Sexy, huh? The magazine is a May 2, 1931 edition of Collier's. There are a few more good ads to scan, but in the meantime I had to use this for this week's blogging :) Please feel free to right click and grab if you like it. Hope everyone has a great Retro Tuesday, Rednesday and Vintage Thursday!!

  1. The ad is nice but I have one question. What on god's green earth are "lazy gums"?

  6. Hi Robin,
(I deleted my previous comment because of typos!)

I remember Ipana! Does that give away my age? (I deletOL! Isn't that the one with Bucky Beaver? Now you really know I'm old!!! I was very, very little, and it wasn't 1931...more like 1951!

Thanks for your suggestion on my blog widgets. I've been blogging for almost 6 months, and I'm still not savvy about so many details...I think I know what you mean. I wanted to keep my blog favorites on my sidebar, so my visitors could visit people that I visit...did that make sense? I follow only a few blogs, because I discovered that they were listed on my dashboard, and I wasn't seeing them there, so I put them on my sidebar instead...that way, I see immediately who has a recent post. I also had several other widgets...a calender, etc., so now I'll add them as I see them on other blogs...like your clock!

Have a wonderful Wednedsay, Julie...God bless!

  12. I love your vintage ad! I love looking at these old ads and wondering how persuasive they were to people back then. One reason I love watching If Walls Could Talk on HGTV is that lots of times new homeowners find old newspapers or magazines and catalogs with the neatest advertisements! Thanks for sharing and thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving such nice comments! -April
